Went for brunch at The Kitchen Table, W Hotel, one Sunday ago with Dannon from TimeOut Singapore and Michelle, the marketing communications manager for W (basically the head PR). Thank you Dan for the lovely invite and Michelle for coming all the way down to Sentosa Cove on a Sunday morning just to host us!

As I'm typing this post, I am salivating. Knew it was a bad idea to blog about FOOD at night.

Well, firstly, take a look at the decor.

Yes, it's a LEGIT table hung upside down as an ornamental ceiling piece. Those are real wooden tables, mind you. This isn't your regular kitchen, guys. W hotel sure spent quite a bunch on the decorations, what with the mounting of upside-down tables onto the ceiling. If I look up regularly, it feels like I'm eating with my head on a chair. Talk about an astronomical eating experience hahaha.

Uh huh, moving on~ there's a special place in hell for people who post food photos past midnight (I know), but technically it's barely 11.30pm right now and so.... here goes.

Obligatory "having-tea-so-let's-take-a-picture" photo, of course

Don't ask why we started with dessert first, but the cheesecake is a YES

Did I not mention? It's an international buffet. The selections are extensive :) Particularly loved the ribs, this can rival my love for Tony Romas'!

Yes, we moved on back to dessert and spotted: a candy floss machine

The theme of the restaurant is "Food From The Heart", so expect the chefs to change the menu daily - they cook what they feel like for each day, and there are live cooking stations for them to show off their cooking prowess (no, I'm kidding) and present only freshly cooked food to you.

Now I'm silently cursing myself because my stomach is growling, damn.

Once again, thank you TimeOut for this wonderful opportunity to savour such exquisite food on a Sunday morning; I must confess my taste buds aren't used to such extravagance.

Hungry yet?

Of late I've been busy - what with school, work and the occasional blogging/piano/tuitions - but I've also been feeling a few waves of fulfillment and accomplishment :)

Summer's nearly over isn't it? Time simply flies by. It's mid-September already, where did three quarters of the year go...? School's been good to me so far, but I would hardly take that for granted. My socks have sunk to ankle-length, and although ankle socks are cool in secondary school, it is not cool at all in university. Ah, c'est la vie!

On a brighter note, two bottles of William Hardys were very generously sent to me for tasting a few weeks ago - a Shiraz & a Chardonnay.

Now, I've never been a fan of alcohol, but my parents do appreciate wines and I join them sometimes at the balcony to unwind after a long day's work. Gist of the story: I cringe and hastily gulp down the wine and get a red face.

No, I'm just kidding. I'm a really good drinker.

The more we drank the Shiraz, the better it tasted. This is rare; normally I take a sip then ditch the whole glass LOL. I'm no wine connoisseur, but this one's a keeper.

The Chardonnay though, was a tad bitter. I thought white wines were supposed to be fruity! I suppose if you drink it really chilled, it's pretty good. Just don't leave it out too long!

Get your wine glasses, let's cheers to the last of summer guys, two weeks to recess!

Was very lucky to be invited by Yingxuan to SHINee's Étude House pink play party two weeks ago; I never even thought of going because I was not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on Étude House's products (especially since I'm always going Korea and we all know how cheap the products are over in their home country).

So when Xuan said she had tickets because her boss couldn't make it, I squealed.

SHINee is like my ultimate favourite K-pop group besides EXO, and although I've seen them quite a few times in real life, I was still obviously not gonna give this golden opportunity up. Thank you Xuan!

As usual, sister dearest leeched on to my luck and came as my +1 :')

Here she is ~

With Xuan and her friends!

Deep in conversation while waiting in queue to go in!

I honestly felt quite out of place with so many XMMs....... maybe it's time for me to grow out of this Korean phase (you wish)

It was quite pretty inside, although the crowd was reaaaally stifling. Look, they had these small mobile make-up counters for everyone to do their make-up. Cute, ain't it?

Nice dress but I caught her yawning a few times. LOL must be real boring standing up there the whole time.

Finally got to the stage area after completing "tasks" (so as to gain entry) ----- yes that includes taking photos with SHINee standees lol

ANYWAY.... here's Minho who was absent *sad*

Rosalyn as emcee!

Sulli from f(x)! She looks better in person. Hahaha

Krystal's cameo

OKAY READY FOR SHINEE??

Why they so flawlesssssss and yes, Jonghyun looks bored/pissed/annoyed as usual hahaha I think he really hates Singapore

SHINee + Sulli

Look at Onew having fun. Hahaha all worth it guys, all worth it :D

Alright, after a pink party of all sorts, I just had to head over to the glam side of swanky dresses and smart tuxedos.

Of course, Esquire's Best Dressed Real Man competition, heating it up @ KPO! In this shot you can see two of the best-looking (in my opinion) men who are in the running. Good luck guys!

Pardon the flash in our eyes! With Tim & Hannah :)

Past interns me & Ron with current intern Eugene :)

Source of laughter in the office, Esquire's other intern --- Marcus

Quite artistic right this photo!

Aaaaand.... a shot to end off the night, with Esquire's Fashion Director (a.k.a my boss) Janie featuring a photo-bombing Darius (who is also in the running for BDRM).

T'was a good night :)

G.
